Marketing Consultant (C-Suite Level)
We are seeking high-calibre, C-Suite consultants to help small to mid-sized businesses achieve their growth ambitions by transforming their marketing capabilities. Many growing businesses lack the in-house resources to scale their marketing effectively, and this role provides short-term access to expertise that can rapidly create a marketing function delivering and de-risking growth.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to develop and refine marketing strategies, whether starting from scratch or building on existing foundations.
Establish strong brand foundations by defining and embedding compelling and differentiating brand values.
Develop compelling brand narratives and messaging to engage external target audiences and align/motivate internal teams.
Identify optimal marketing activities to build awareness, drive consideration and conversion, and foster long-term loyalty.
Create clear, actionable marketing plans with robust measurement methods for success and return on investment.
Lead or support the implementation of marketing strategies, potentially by acting as a fractional CMO or mentoring existing marketing leads.
Assist in recruiting marketing teams, from heads of marketing to key specialists.
Deploy consultants with specific expertise (e.g., digital, public affairs) to achieve early wins while client teams are built or upskilled.
Vet current agencies or source new partners as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience at or just below board level within well-known businesses.
An unusual combination of skills including brand, marketing, communications, market research, and people and culture.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business to achieve tangible results.
