Marketing and Communications Manager

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and passionate Marketing and Communications Manager to join a thriving independent preparatory school in London. This is a full-time, permanent, onsite position commencing in Spring 2026, reporting directly to the School Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the school’s future by aligning marketing and communications strategies with the school’s values, ethos, and long-term vision.
The Role
You will be responsible for creating engaging, on-brand content across both digital and traditional platforms to strengthen the school’s profile with prospective families, current pupils, and alumni. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic planning with creative delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading marketing initiatives to support pupil recruitment and retention
Managing the marketing budget and monitoring campaign performance
Overseeing all digital activity, including website content, social media, SEO, and PPC campaigns
Creating compelling written and visual content, including newsletters, prospectus material, and promotional assets
Acting as a storyteller for the school community by capturing photography and content at events
Ensuring brand consistency across all communications
Working closely with senior leaders and admissions teams to support strategic priorities
The Person
The ideal candidate will be a confident, enthusiastic “people person” with experience in marketing, communications, or customer-focused roles (experience in education is desirable but not essential).
You will have:
Strong written and visual communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Office and creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
A keen eye for detail and high standards of presentation
A proactive, flexible, and hands-on approach
The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
A genuine passion for working in a community that supports and inspires young people
