Marketing Manager | Permanent | £45k

Exciting opportunity for a dynamic Marketing Manager to make their mark promoting academic excellence in a friendly, supportive, and reputable environment.

A highly reputable school who are part of a fast-growing independent school group is looking for a Marketing Manager who will be instrumental in raising the profile of the school amongst key audiences (parents, staff, media, etc.) and the wider public by developing and delivering communications plans to promote each school’s objectives, particularly pupil recruitment and retention.

The role has a focus on newsgathering and storytelling across various channels (including online, print, and social). The role will also necessitate involvement in advertising (off and online), PR, events, digital marketing, social media, and face-to-face marketing.

The successful candidate will be an organised, enthusiastic and a hard-working team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be digitally savvy and have had previous experience in a similar marketing/ communications role.

Responsibilities

As the Marketing Manager, you'll play a key role in broadcasting the school's vibrant culture, innovative teaching methods, and upcoming events. You'll have the chance to bring the classroom to life and showcase the school's unique aura through:

  • Developing engaging, rich content for school communication channels including social media and websites.

  • Managing social media responses and fostering strong relationships with the school community.

  • Leading dynamic Open Mornings, parent events, and working closely with the PTA.

  • Consistently monitoring, reviewing, and improving website content and other communication channels.

  • Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to understand and fulfil their communication needs.

  • Taking the initiative to remain informed about the latest communication tools to improve school outreach.

  • Attending school events for photography and marketing purposes and leading creative initiatives like newsletters and video presentations.

Requirements

Candidates will ideally possess:

  • Proven marketing experience including digital and social media marketing.

  • Proficiency in photography, design, and video.

  • Excellent professional communication skills, both orally and in writing.

  • Adaptability, and a flexible mindset.

  • Understanding of a school or similar environment.
