The Agency & Client

Our client is an award-winning integrated agency and they are looking for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to join its fun and friendly environment.


Having worked with this government-backed client for 5 years, the agency have a strong and collaborative relationship with them. Its an exciting time to join the business having recently won the pitch to be the client's sole, integrated agency earlier this year.


The agency works as their creative and strategic partners, successfully broadening their appeal and recruiting new audiences into the brand, and demystifying some of their more complex products. The agency are now responsible for all marketing activity, including strategic MarTech support, setting the creative strategy, ATL and social creative development and delivery, and customer relationship marketing.


The Role

As Senior Account Manager, you will be the day-to-day client and agency go-to on integrated workstreams. You will be responsible for owning and managing monthly integrated and ad hoc campaigns through the agency and will work to support the Account Director in the day-to-day running of the account and delivery for clients.

You will also be partly responsible for managing an AE and helping them deliver against their objectives.

This is a retained client, and you will be part of a Client Services team of six who all work together to ensure a joined-up approach and alignment across the agency's remit to effectively service its clients.

These clients are passionate about insight-led strategy and impactful creative ideas, making it a fun, dynamic and energising account to work on.


About You

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious, self motivated Senior Account Manager with great people skills, who is keen to make their mark. Someone who is passionate about client services and delivering a high standard of work.

The candidate needs to have the right character, diligence and can-do approach to build strong relationships both internally and externally. You will need to have the ability to lead on fully integrated campaigns and be the go-to point across each project you manage. This will mean taking briefs from the client and managing their expectations; organising kick offs internally; writing the brief; briefing creatives; ensuring all departments are managed and kept in the loop; delivering the campaign on time and on budget and retaining the client’s innate trust in you.

Experience in social media, digital and print channels is a must, and ideally, you will also have experience of managing CRM campaigns.

The Senior Account Manager reports in to and is supported by an Account Director, however they need to be confident in their ability to manage their own projects and are trusted to do so, asking for help and working together across projects when needed.


Essential Skills

  • A candidate that already has experience at Senior Campaign Manager / Senior Account Manager level.

  • Agency experience essential with strong integrated experience both BTL and ATL.

  • Ideally experience in personalised marketing communications (DM and email)

  • Good knowledge of agency process and working with Planning and Creative departments.

  • Experience in handling end-to-end marketing campaigns.

  • Financial Services experience is a plus, but not essential.

  • Experience of digital, social, print, and ideally CRM, channels.

  • Good knowledge of core processes for campaign development across these channels – from brief interrogation to final creative output.

  • High attention to detail and strong process-driven approach to Client Services

  • Solution orientation and drive to make things happen.

  • Influencing skills – ability to work in partnership with Clients and interagency partners as well as manage internal relationships effectively.

  • Highest level of organisational skills with the ability to juggle Client contacts, requests and projects.

  • Resourcefulness and solution-orientated when things don’t go to plan – ability to think on your feet and find solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Able to work independently as part of a wider team, identifying key points to include senior team members for reviews and approvals.

  • Wider group responsibilities including commercial management – forecast management and account resourcing.
