Financial Director – Poland - 65k-80k (Euros) - Polish & English speaking
Our client, a prestigious international education group, is looking for an experienced Financial Director to join their team in Poland. This is a key leadership role reporting to both the European CFO and the local Head of School, ideal for someone with strong financial acumen and a collaborative approach.
This role will be instrumental in overseeing the school’s financial operations—ensuring compliance, driving accurate reporting, supporting strategic planning, and leading the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyse monthly reports (e.g. income statements, balance sheets)
Oversee tax calculations and ensure compliance with Polish regulations
Monitor capital expenditures and support monthly financial submissions
Partner closely with the School Head and European finance leadership
🔹 Financial Management & Forecasting
Lead accounting, cash flow management, and payments
Oversee internal and external audits
Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
🔹 Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and European HQ
Ensure full compliance with audit and reporting requirements
🔹 Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor the finance/accounting team
Support procurement activities and policy adherence
Foster continuous development across the team
🔹 Accounting & Treasury Oversight
Deliver monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and manage bank positions
Implement and manage accounting practices using Entersoft
Ensure timely financial record submissions to relevant authorities
Oversee all monthly and ad-hoc payments
What They're Looking For:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or certification such as CPA/ACCA is a plus)
Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally within education or a similarly complex environment
Deep knowledge of Polish tax, accounting, and regulatory standards
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in Polish and English is essential
